Michela Cerruti – Press
Michela Cerruti was born in Rome the 18th of february 1987.
Since she was a child, she had always shown a clear tendency towards speed. The first contact with that was at the age of 6, when she started skiing, sport that she practiced at high levels of competitions for 10 years, and in which, despite living in the city and training just the weekend, she achieved important results both at regional and national level.
At the same time she conquered a series of victories also in athletics, expecially in the run.
At 16 years old, Michela decided to temporarilly shelve the passion for sport to dedicate herself to study: after obtaining the Diploma at High School, she graduated in Psicology at Università Cattolica of Milan.
It was at that time that she discovered the innate passion for motorsport, surely inherited from her father Aldo, also known as Baronio, who was a successful race driver of the 70’s, racking up victory after victory in the most important touring car championships, and who brilliantly crowned his career in 2009, winning the title of italian champion in the Italian GT Championship, with a Ferrari F430.
In 2006, Aldo decided to send Michela to a safety drive course, entrusting the experience of Mario Ferraris, son of the famous Romeo Ferraris. He was impressed by the speed and the instinctive car control of Michela and convinced her father to let her race.
